FOJP provides insurance products and services to over 8,000 physicians in the metropolitan New York area who are employees of our client hospitals or have admitting privileges with the hospitals.  Under the Voluntary Attending Physicians (VAP) program, physicians approved by FOJP's client hospitals are eligible for primary and excess medical professional and general liability coverage.  FOJP also offers on-line risk management education to meet regulatory requirements for New York’s “Section 18” excess insurance coverage. 

FOJP’s publications, risk assessment surveys, and courses can help physicians identify and minimize risks in medical malpractice and procedures, medical record documentation, patient confidentiality, informed consent, patient-physician communications and practice management.
