Disclosure of Unanticipated Outcomes (interactive CD-ROM)
This program is designed to assist health care providers in addressing unanticipated outcomes. It deals with communication, documentation and reporting requirements. This interactive module includes advice on speaking with patients and families when there has been an adverse event and how health care providers should respond to and document these difficult situations. A certificate with your score can be printed out at the conclusion of the program.
Guidelines for the development of a disclosure policy are also included to help your organization meet JCAHO Patient Safety Standards on disclosure of adverse patient events. The program should take less than 30 minutes to complete. To order, click here.
