26th Health Care Risk Management Conference
Presented by FOJP and HIC
Communication is a sometimes overlooked, yet critical aspect of patient safety and quality of care. Our 26th Health Care Risk Management Conference, Communication for Patient Safety, will provide attendees with important insight into initiatives and training methods that are being used to improve communication among physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and patients in order to deliver high-quality care.
Presenters at the conference will explore a variety of topics related to communication, including transparency in medicine, robust reporting of patient safety events, patient empowerment, physician-nurse and nurse-nurse relationships, and the importance of fostering cultures that emphasize communication as a tool to improve quality of care and mitigate medical liability issues.
In addition, leading experts from our member hospitals, including Maimonides, Montefiore and the Mount Sinai Health System (Beth Israel, Mount Sinai, and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt), also will participate in panel discussions highlighting HIC’s patient communication and provider communication projects to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes.
This conference is complimentary for FOJP and HIC clients.
Online registration begins in January.
